Victoria Beckham Talks About Armani Campaign
May 7, 2009 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham unveiled her new campaign for Emporio Armani’s women’s underwear yesterday afternoon at Macy’s in New York. She did a meet-and-greet with fans as a 20-foot version of her new ad was unveiled.
In this video, Victoria talks about how she met Armani and why they decided to collaborate together on this ad campaign. She really enjoyed doing this campaign and she worked out quite hard to make sure her body was in top shape for the photo. I think it paid off, she looks great in the ad!
Here’s a video of Victoria working the red carpet as the papaazzi snap her picture beneath the giant poster of her ad. Can you imagine how surreal it must be to see yourself that large?
What do you think of Victoria’s new campaign?
The Times Interviews Victoria Beckham
April 4, 2009 by Erin Balser
The Times sat down with budding fashion designer Victoria Beckham and asked her ten questions as part of their “Fashion’s New Attitude” series.
They asked Victoria the basic questions, like who she has in mind when she designs and if she will ever return to singing. But they also ask her if she has plans to expand the Victoria Beckham Collection (shoes aren’t out of the picture!), how she feels about her personal style evolution and what she’s been doing in this recession to stay successful and relevant.
Victoria Beckham & Marc Jacobs Profiled in Berdorf Goodman Magazine
March 10, 2009 by Erin Balser
In the upcoming issue of the Berdorf Goodman magazine, Victoria Beckham sits down with designer pal Marc Jacobs. The two of them chat about everything from Marc’s nude shoot with Harper’s Bazaar to the tabloid fascination with the Beckhams.

WWD was lucky enough to get a preview of what I’m sure is going to be an amazing read!
“They’ve done this horrible thing, Victoria,” Jacobs said about the now infamous nude shoot. “They’ve airbrushed me, so I look like a Ken doll.”
As for the paparazzi fascination, Victoria has a pretty good attitude about it all.
“The problem is, when you are well-known in the tabloids, and you’re trying to break into a new industry, it makes it very difficult, because people get preconceptions, and so everybody thinks that I am a miserable bitch who goes shopping every day,” she said.
We know this isn’t true, Victoria!
The Berdorf Goodman magazine comes out four times a year. It’s available only to US residents, either in store or via subscription.
Victoria Beckham Chats Again About Her New Collection
February 21, 2009 by Erin Balser
New York Magazine had the opportunity to pop by Victoria Beckham’s studio to see her second collection for her line, the Victoria Beckham Collection. Victoria took them through the line piece by piece.
Victoria says she launched into fashion because it’s something she’s always wanted to do and the timing felt right. She’s learned a lot and wanted to put all that new information to use with her new collection. It was one of the most exciting times in her life.
The customer is herself and every dress is made in her own image. There’s definitely nothing wrong with knowing what you want. And Victoria has such impeccable style, why wouldn’t she make something she’d want to wear?
Victoria’s knowledge about her collection is very thorough. It really should put her naysayers to rest - she knows what she’s talking about and she’s clearly passionate about this.

I love how excited and giddy she seems when talking about her collection. Victoria’s love for fashion really comes through!
Victoria Beckham on February 2009 Cover of Italian Vanity Fair
February 4, 2009 by Erin Balser
If the Beckhams do make the move to Milan permanent, it looks like Italy will welcome David and Victoria with open arms. Victoria is gracing the cover of the February 2009 issue of Italian Vanity Fair (See the cover here.) They used the photo shoot from her recent spread with Harper’s Bazaar, but she’s stunning. I love that shoot, so it’s nice to see them use it again.
Inside the magazine, Victoria talks about how happy she is about David’s success in Milan and how much she enjoys spending time in Milan. The fashion community is very strong there and Victoria feels that she is very much a part of it.
“I like Milan a lot,” she says. “I know so many people there, especially in the world of fashion: Dolce and Gabbana, Armani… The city is vibrant, full of energy and passion. You eat well. There are no reasons not to appreciate Milan.”
She feels she and David are more in love than ever and is excited to grow old with him. She also admits that other than her father. husband and children, she has no connection with heterosexual men and doesn’t understand them!
The entire interview is posted on the website, which is in Italian. You can use Google to translate it if you’re like me and your Italian is non-existent!

Victoria Beckham Interviewed in London Times
December 4, 2008 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham was interviewed by the London Times yesterday as part of her press junket for the Victoria Beckham Collection. She chatted about developing her dress collection, how she is strict about her boys’ manners, how hard it was to make the move from pop star to fashion designer and more.
She also talked about her designing process. She doesn’t sketch, but she thinks that’s nothing to worry about:
Do I draw? No. Then again, nor do lots of designers. But I put it all on myself and walk around in it, and I know what feels comfortable. I know how a dress should sit. I’ve worn so many in the past and when I see the photographs I think, crikey, my boobs are up round my neck again because the corsets are too short and not cut high enough. Like I knew I would spend a lot on the best-quality zips because, like many women, I’ve had my share of crappy zips. I wanted a zip that undoes from both ends because then you can either put the dress on over your head or, if you don’t want to mess up your hair, you can step into it - and also, you know, going to the loo wouldn’t be this whole big palaver.
Victoria Beckham Harper’s Bazaar January 2009 Cover Girl
December 4, 2008 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham is on the cover of the January 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar. In the cover story, she talks about her growing fashion empire, mothering three boys and how she balances it all. While it’s a really nice and well-written article, there aren’t any surprises to be found.
The photo shoot for the article is gorgeous and Harper’s has put an online slide show here for you to enjoy!
The article does have lots of character, as the author tries on her thigh high PVC boots she wore to her Beckham fragrance launch in New York.
“Oh, c’mon, they’re not that hard to walk in,” she says. “They’re not uncomfortable! You have to go to a sex shop to get this spray to polish them.”
The article also explores how difficult being acceptable and taken seriously in the fashion world has been for the former pop star. They talk to good friend Marc Jacobs about this journey and how hard she’s worked and how very involved in the fashion world she has become.
“Her love for fashion goes way beyond just getting dressed, ” he says. “She is as meticulous in what she creates as she has been in her own self-creation.”
Victoria Beckham Interviewed in The Sun
September 23, 2008 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham spoke exclusively to the British tabloid The Sun about her healthier new lifestyle (she’s running a lot and eating more!), her outrage about the diet pill rumors, her new haircut, her frangrance line and dress line and how Anna Wintour takes her calls!
“I can genuinely say I’m content and happy at the moment. I don’t really give a sh*t what people think about me. I’m more grown up now and I’ve learned not to care so much what people say,” Victoria says. “It feels fantastic that everything I’ve worked so hard for over the past five years is coming together.”
The interview really sounds like Victoria is loving life. You can read it for yourself here.
Victoria Beckham: Fashion is Like My Child
September 3, 2008 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckhamshe’s openly admitted she has no time for another child. She tells OK Magazine that a big reason for this is that her new dress line (premiering at NY Fashion Week this month) is like another kid.
That, and she’s convinced that it makes her look crazy. She openly gets excited about stuff that David and her boys do not understand.
“I think sometimes David thinks I’m a bit nuts,” she told the magazine. “I get very excited about rivets and buttons and fabric that he doesn’t really understand.”
However, despite his lack of understanding, Victoria says that David’s been nothing but supportive throughout the entire process.
I think the Beckhams have a really solid, understanding relationship. They need to, considering how jam-packed and crazy their schedules are!
