George Clooney may be quickly becoming a close friend of the couple, but Victoria says that he can’t hold a candle to her hubby, David.

“He was so nice, a real gentleman and absolutely hilarious,” Victoria The Sun during her interview. “He has a great sense of humor. But I think David is better looking than him. Definitely.”

This only leaves me to wonder when David will be named People’s Sexiest Man Alive!

I love this rumor and I really hope it’s true. According to the gossipy Daily Mirror, the Beckhams and movie star George Clooney have recently struck up a friendship.

“George was only recently introduced to the Beckhams but they hit it off straight away,” says a source. “He totally digs Victoria’s dry, very British sense of humour and gets her jokes, which a lot of Americans don’t.”

The friendship sound slike it’s getting pretty serious. On Monday night, the group flew to New York to attend the MET Costume Institute Gala together and began to really bond on the plane.

“They went out for dinner the evening before their flight but the trio really bonded on the plane, swapping gossip and doing hilarious impressions,” the source says.

After the Gala, the group all went to Bungalow 8 together.

I think a Clooney/Beckham friendship is totally plausible. They all seem like fun and fun-loving people who, let’s face it, truly understand what it means to be mega-famous.
