David Beckham Says Bye to the Bulldog

The £3,000 British bulldog that Victoria Beckham got hubby David for Christmas has already been kicked
to the curb. Becks has handed over the pup to pal Gordon Ramsay because he feared that he wouldn’t be able to take care of it properly because of his globetrotting lifestyle.
I’m kind of sad about this because 1. Isn’t Posh going to be a little peeved that her present has been pawned off on someone else and 2. Poor disposable doggie!
I hope the foul mouthed chef gives the pooch a proper home. Perhaps one day the dog will rise up and learn to kick …read more

David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy are currently in New Zealand. They played an exhibition game against the Oceania All-Stars yesterday afternoon. David took some time out yesterday before the game to update us on his trip there.

He’s so excited to be back in NZ, he really loves it there. He thinks they have a tough game ahead of them, as the All-Stars are a talented team with lots of great players, but he’s confident the Galaxy can pull a win out.

David Beckham Planning Post-Football Future

David Beckham knows he can’t play football forever and is looking at planning his next career. The rumor is he’s interested in sports and entertainment financing and is already putting this plan in place with AEG and Galaxy owner Tim Leiweke.
var iamInit = function() {try{initIamServingHandler(420,279,316025,”http://cdn.pis.picapp.com/IamProd/Resources/Css/css2.css”)}catch(ex){}}()

Leiweke has promised David a boardroom job after retirement, if he so desires. The catch is that David is expected to be more than a figurehead and actually be involved in the ins-and-outs of the company, and this requires a crash course in sports financing. David has been taking a lot of talks with Tim and …read more

He was also excited to watch the England football team play in Berlin, although he was disappointed he wasn’t there himself to play the game.

LA Galaxy Draw With Dallas

David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy played their final game of the season yesterday, playing Dallas to a 2-2 draw. Eddie Buddle and Landon Donovan picked up the two Galaxy goals, and David helped out with an assist. It was a disappointing end to a lackluster season for the Galaxy. Let’s hope they work hard during the off-season and come back next year better than ever.

England Defeats Andorra 2-0

England and David Beckham took one step closer to this year’s World Cup by defeating Andorra by a score of 2-0 last night in Spain. David didn’t start, but came into the game in the second half. This gave David his 104th cap!

Both of England’s goals were scored by Joe Cole in the second half, who had a fantastic game! The first half looked a bit rough, but England came out fighting after the break, and pulled out a fantastic win! Congrats to the team!
Next up, England will play Croatia on Wednesday in their second …read more

David Beckham Blogs About England Training, Galaxy

David Beckham updated his blog today. He wrote about the draw the Galaxy had against the New England Revolution–what a well-fought game that was!–, training with the England squad for the World Cup, and more.

David also congratulats John Terry for being awarded the English captainship. As always, David is appreciative of the contributions others bring to his sport, and humbled by their excellence as he works beside them. David always impresses me with his class and grace when talking about teammates and competitors. You can tell he really loves soccer and everything about it.

LA Galaxy Draw Against New England Revolution

David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy played to a 2-2 draw against the New England Revolution last night, an outcome that was hard-fought and well deserved by the team.
Landon Donovan picked up both goals for the Galaxy, which were assisted by Peter Vagenas and Eddie Lewis, respectively.
“Everybody knows Landon is a great goal scorer,” David said to the press after the game. “It’s what he does. It’s what he’s done his whole career. It’s what he’ll carry on doing because he’s very talented. If you give him the ball in the right places, he’ll score 99 percent of the …read more

Pictures: David Beckham at SuperClasico

While David Beckham was disappointed with the level of play at the SuperClasico on Thursday, he came out fighting. David received a caution during the game for a reckless foul. He did make up for this indiscretion with an assist on the first goal to Chris Klein.
Below are some photos of David during the game and with the trophy. I know David wasn’t pleased–he felt they should have won 2-0 or 3-0–but it wasn’t a terrible outcome, considering it was the first game under the helm of Cobi Jones.

More photos after the jump!
