David Beckham Spends Easter in Madrid
April 13, 2009 by Erin Balser
David Beckham couldn’t spend Easter Sunday with his family, so he went for the next best thing - spending Easter watching his former team Real Madrid. David traveled to Madrid to see them take on Valladolid on their home field. It was an exciting game to watch, as Madrid took home the victory by a score of 2-0.

David looked very dapper in his suit while sitting in the stands. He was very polite to the many fans who greeted him, often posing for photographs and giving autographs when asked. David wasn’t completely alone though, his personal assistant was by his side the entire game!

Later that evening, David spent Easter dinner with several Madrid players whose families couldn’t be with them either.
AC Milan Draw Against Werder Bremen
February 19, 2009 by Erin Balser
David Beckham and AC Milan played to a 1-1 draw last night in Germany, a UEFA Cup match. AC Milan played a tough game and the team was pleased with the effort, despite the disappointing outcome.

“We played a good game,” said the Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti. “We suffered, yes, but it’s normal to suffer in some games. However, it went well despite the fact that they’re a bigger team physically. The whole team played well, they fought for every ball, suffered together at the end.”
Here is a video of a few highlights from the game:
David did play in the game, despite speculation he would sit this one out after being injured in Milan’s derby match against Inter-Milan.
He came in off the bench for Ronaldinho for the final two minutes of the game. It’s not much, but it does show his inury is minor and he should have a full recovery soon.
David Beckham at Lakers Game with David Arquette
December 17, 2008 by Erin Balser
David Beckham sat in the front row with David Arquette at the Los Angeles Lakers game last night. The game was really exciting, with the Lakers rallying from a halftime deficit to defeat the New York Knicks by only 2 points. The final score was 116-114.
Spike Lee was also at the game at at one point David went over to say hello to the filmmaker.
I think it’s interesting that David and David are friends. I wonder what brought them together and if we’ll see any family playdates with David, Courteney and their daughter Coco with the Beckhams.

Beckham Boys Spend Morning Together
November 30, 2008 by Erin Balser
Before their family lunch at the Plaza yesterday, the four Beckham boys–David, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz–spent the morning together. They had breakfast at Starbucks before doing some shopping at Victoria’s Secret. I wonder if they were buying Christmas presents for Victoria!
The four of them seem to really have fun together. I’m glad the boys all get along so well and they seem to adore their dad!

After the trip to the candy shop, but before seeing Jersey Boys, the entire Beckham family met up with the Cruise family for dinner at Serafina.
Suri is the most adorable little girl. I love her red party dress. She matched her mom, Katie!

David Beckham at Lakers Game November 18
November 22, 2008 by Erin Balser
David Beckham took some time out for himself on November 18, as he attended a Lakers game all by himself. He sat in the front row and looked to be intensely into the game. The intensity must have paid off–the Lakers defeated the Chicago Bulls 116-109.
He was sitting next to Francesca Leiweke, and they chatted occasionally throughout the game.

Pictures: David Beckham Watches USA Win Gold
August 24, 2008 by Erin Balser
Even though David Beckham’s trip to Beijing for the Olympics Closing Ceremonies was very brief, he managed to squeeze in a few days of playing Olympic spectator. On Day 16, David watched the USA basketball team defeat Spain 118-107 to win a gold medal!
Ever since moving to LA, David has become a serious basketball fan. It’s great to see him get the most out of his Olympic experience and support LA Lakers player Kobe Bryant in the process!
On Day 15, David also took in some Athletics events at the awesome Birds Nest stadium with the chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games Lord Sebastian Coe, London Mayor Boris Johnson. I love that David is so involved with the Olympics bid and planning for London for 2012.

August 24, 2008 by Erin Balser
David Beckham was one of the participants in the Closing Ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, as they passed the Olympic Torch over to London, who will host the 2012 games. David’s participation was brief and simple–he was escorted by a child onto the field and kicked a soccer ball into the stadium! The crowd went insane as everyone scrambled to get the ball for themselves. It looks like David is a superstar in China too!
According to David’s blog, he was honored to participate in the closing ceremonies. It was amazing to watch on television–I can’t even imagine how awe-inspiring it must have been to be there in person!
