David Beckham to Retire and Escape from L.A.?

Word has it that football hottie David Beckham has said that as soon as the World Cup is finished he will retire from playing football for LA Galaxy and AC Milan to become a full time dad. Reports say that he has also told his wife, Victoria Beckham, that once he’s retired he would like to move back to England so the children can enjoy the same kind of upbringing he had.

AC Milan Player is Excited to Have David Beckham On Board

As everyone may or may not know David Beckham is on a 6 month loan from the L.A. Galaxy to join forces with Milan in the Champions League. Midfielder Andrea Pirlo is excited to have him on board as he is one of the top five football players in the world. Pirlo continued to explain that Beckham will pose a threat to his former team Manchester United.

Los Angeles Galaxy Win in New Zealand

The Los Angeles Galaxy had a stellar performance Down Under yesterday, as the team defeated the Oceania All-Stars 3-0 in front of 16,600 fans-many of them cheering for the Galaxy!

David Beckham put in a strong performance, nearly scoring in the first two minutes and coming up with 2 assists. The Galaxy goals’ were scored by Jovan Kirovski, Alan Gordon and Brandon McDonald.
“It was great,” David said at the press conference after the game. “Obviously I enjoyed playing in a different part of the world. The supporters enjoyed the game as I did.”

David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy are currently in New Zealand. They played an exhibition game against the Oceania All-Stars yesterday afternoon. David took some time out yesterday before the game to update us on his trip there.

He’s so excited to be back in NZ, he really loves it there. He thinks they have a tough game ahead of them, as the All-Stars are a talented team with lots of great players, but he’s confident the Galaxy can pull a win out.

David Beckham knows he can’t play football forever and is looking at planning his next career. The rumor is he’s interested in sports and entertainment financing and is already putting this plan in place with AEG and Galaxy owner Tim Leiweke.

David Beckham wrote a brief blog post yesterday about his trip to Vegas last weekend. It was exciting for him to watch Ricky Hatton’s boxing match and to see his pal win. He was also excited to watch the England football team play in Berlin, although he was disappointed he wasn’t there himself to play the game.

LA Galaxy Draw With Dallas

David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy played their final game of the season yesterday, playing Dallas to a 2-2 draw. Eddie Buddle and Landon Donovan picked up the two Galaxy goals, and David helped out with an assist. It was a disappointing end to a lackluster season for the Galaxy. Let’s hope they work hard during the off-season and come back next year better than ever.

David Beckham updated his blog after England defeated Croatia 4-1 to qualify for the 2010 World Cup. David writes that he’s really pleased with how the team played and is so proud of Theo Walcott, who started over David in the game, but pulled out a hat trick to carry England to victory.

David Beckham updated his blog today. He wrote about the draw the Galaxy had against the New England Revolution–what a well-fought game that was!–, training with the England squad for the World Cup, and more.

David also congratulats John Terry for being awarded the English captainship. LA Galaxy Draw Against New England Revolution

David Beckham and the Los Angeles Galaxy played to a 2-2 draw against the New England Revolution last night, an outcome that was hard-fought and well deserved by the team.
Landon Donovan picked up both goals for the Galaxy, which were assisted by Peter Vagenas and Eddie Lewis, respectively.
