Video: Victoria Beckham on Live with Regis & Kelly
September 27, 2008 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham appeared on Live with Regis & Kelly yesterday morning to promote her and David’s new signature fragrances. Nick Lachey was sitting in for Regis and admitted to Victoria that he has a bit of a man crush on David!
The three of them talk about Victoria’s hair, her new dress collection, her relationship with David, being a celebrity and more.
I think Victoria looked smashing. Her pixie cut really brings her sophistication to another level. The rapport between Kelly, Nick and Victoria was great–it’s as if they’re old friends.
Los Angeles Galaxy Lose 3-1 to Chicago Fire
September 26, 2008 by Erin Balser
The Los Angeles Galaxy just couldn’t get it going last night as they played the Chicago Fire in Tokyo Park. The end result was a 3-1 loss, bringing the Galaxy’s record to 7-11-8.
The lone Galaxy goal was scored by Eddie Lewis.
The team was disappointing with this showing, seeing as they were coming off a 5-2 win over DC United. They knew how important this game was, but David Beckham thinks perhaps their confidence is what defeated them.
“We need to pick it up because we are running out of opportunities,” David told the press after the game. However, “Our confidence was maybe too high going into this game.”
Below is a video with highlights from the game:
Video: David Beckham Speaks to Radio 1
September 18, 2008 by Erin Balser
Radio 1’s Chris Moyles’s reporter Carrie caught up with David Beckham in Los Angeles recently, to see how being in LA for more than a year was treating him. The reporter seems completely incompetent–she isn’t sure if she’s even going to get to to chat with David, then they can’t find the Home Depot center, then her questions are ridiculous. It would be okay if she was charming in her idiocy, but she’s not.
They chat about what’s cool in LA, where to shop, where to eat in LA, and Victoria’s new pixie cut.
LA Galaxy Falls to Kansas City Wizards
September 15, 2008 by Erin Balser
The Los Angeles Galaxy lost to the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday night, by a score of 2-0. This brings the Galaxy’s winless streak up to a total of 12 games.
The Galaxy were disappointed with the output. However, it was the first game back for the players who had national team obligations, and perhaps a mix of exhaustion and team cohesion played a part.
“It was a tough game for us again,” David Beckham told reporters after the game. “No one likes losing and we’ve gone a long time without winning a game. Today’s another tough one to take. In the second half they just had a little bit more in them than we did.”

England Defeats Croatia 4-1
September 11, 2008 by Erin Balser
England got one step closer to the World Cup by defeating Croatia 4-1 last night. England dominated from beginning to end, with Theo Walcott serving up a hat trick and Wayne Rooney offering up the fourt goal.
This win means England will play in the 2010 World Cup.
Even though David sat the bench for most of the game, he was a stellar contributor, supporting his teammates and giving younger players advice. Theo Walcott, the player who started over David, praised David for looking out for him and making him better on the field.
“Becks told me to be a bit more greedy in the box, then afterwards he said I was probably too greedy!” Theo laughed with reporters after the game. “He has been absolutely brilliant to me and he just gave me so much confidence. He’s given me praise and it’s unbelievable coming from David. I watched him when I was younger. To train with him, to be around him, to talk to him just spurs me on and gives me a big lift.”

Video: David Beckham on Sesame Street
September 6, 2008 by Erin Balser
David Beckham’s Sesame Street appearance aired earlier this week. It’s possibly the cutest thing I have ever seen. David teaches the viewers at home and Elmo about what it means to be “persistent.” Elmo wants to play soccer with David and keeps asking and asking and asking–in fact, he’s being quite persistent!
I only wish that David had done a few more segments. And I love that Elmo calls him “Mr. David!”
Video: New Beckham Fragrance Ad

Here is the new television ad for the Beckham’s fragrances, including the news ones Signature for Her and Signature for Him. The ad is a 20-second segment and features both David and Victoria. All I can say is that the ad is hot, hot, hot!
What do you think of the ad? Is it effective?
Below is a making-of video for this ad. Sadly, there is no sound, but it shows David and Victoria doing several takes of each scene as well as the crew putting together the sets!
Video: Victoria Beckham Arriving At Harvey Nichols in Manchester

Here is a video of Victoria Beckham working the purple carpet outside the Harvey Nichols in Manchester before the big launch of her new perfume Signature for Her.
There’s been lots of internet stories circulating about how nice Victoria was to her fans that day! It’s alway great to hear such things.
The video isn’t much, just her moving and posing for the photographers as the fans behind them scream randomly, but it’s always fun to see a red carpet event in action!
Video: David Beckham Interviewed at Olympic Closing Ceremonies
August 24, 2008 by Erin Balser
Below is an interview David Beckham did shortly after participating in the closing ceremonies for the Beijing Olympics. David “kicked off” the countdown for the 2012 games in London by kicking a soccer ball into the giant crowd.
David seems super excited about having participated in the ceremonies in the video below! It’s like he’s on an adrenaline high, it’s fantastic to see such genuine enthusiasm and energy.

David was a key player in the London bid and believes that London hosting the Olympics will do great things for the city and for sport in Britain. He’s really proud of British athletes. He also recognizes that each Olympics is a unique experience and he wants London to capitalize on that in 2012.
