Will David Beckham & Angelina Jolie Join Forces?
July 6, 2009 by Erin Balser
David and Victoria Beckham’s hot Armani photos have just been released, but rumors are already flying he’s going to partner with another sexy leading lady in the next campaign - Angelina Jolie!

““When you have David Beckham and Angelina Jolie signed up to your fashion house it’s a no-brainer to link them up,” an insider tells the tabloids. “They appeal to a diverse audience and a collaboration would create so much publicity it would push Armani head and shoulders above their rivals. There are a few contract issues to be addressed but marketing experts are being tasked with coming up with clever ideas for a print campaign.”
I think this would be amazing! Angelina is a gorgeous woman and she and David could bring a lot of heat to an ad campaign. While I do think this is only in the rumor stage right now, there’s no reason it can’t happen!
David has been a model for Armani since 2007, but they only recently scored Angelina a few weeks ago, when they signed her to a multi-million dollar three-year deal that includes being the face of their new fragrance campaign.

David & Victoria Beckham’s Rumored Romantic Getaway
July 3, 2009 by Erin Balser
David and Victoria Beckham will be celebrating their tenth wedding anniversary this weekend, on July 4th. There’s been lots of rumors about what the couple is going to do to commemorate this special occasion, but the most pervasive rumor is that the twosome will be spending a romantic weekend on the ultra-exclusive Necker Island.
Necker Island is owned by media magnate Richard Branson. There is only one building on the entire island, a 14-bedroom mansion that can be rented for $51,000 per night!
It’s so exclusive that David apparently had to even call in a few favors to make sure he got his reservation, The Sun claims. Their source reported that:
Becks has pulled in a few favours. He has bought Victoria a lot of other gifts to mark the occasion but the big surprise is the holiday to Necker. Richard Branson owns the paradise island and sorted the trip out, including all the travel arrangements. It will be something to remember.
I’m sure it will be! And with that much space, it will be easy to balance a romantic time with family fun if they decide to bring the boys along.
Regardless of what Victoria and David decide to do, I wish them the best! Happy Anniversary!

Beckham Family Portraits to Celebrate 10th Year Anniversary
June 22, 2009 by Erin Balser
According to the oh-so-reliable News of the World, David and Victoria Beckham are planning to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary (July 4th!) by unveiling new family portraits. As far as tabloid reports go, this one is very sweet.

“They’re going to pose for some romantic photos, and then have a big family photo with their three boys,” their source reports. “The Beckhams want to unveil the photos in front of everyone on their big night on July 4th.”
I think this is a sweet idea. It’s always fun to document a growing family and what better occasion to get official family photos done than on a milestone like your 10th anniversary? As mcuh as I would honor the Beckhams’ privacy, I hope we get to see at least one of the photos.
The weird part of the rumor is that the Beckhams have asked Canadian singer Bryan Adams to take the photos. I had no idea Bryan was even a photographer or that the Beckhams even knew him! Mel C collaborated with Bryan way back when the Spice Girls were still together on his single “When You’re Gone.” Other than that? No clue!

London House Hunting Rumors for the Beckhams
June 19, 2009 by Erin Balser
When the Beckhams go on vacation, the tabloids have to get a little creative! The latest rumor is that Victoria and David are looking for a second home in London, one that’s more accessible than Beckhamingham Palace in Hertfordshire.
With Victoria’s atelier based n London and with David playing often for the England National team, it makes sense they could have a quick, little (for them!) place in the heart of London to go back and forth from. It would certainly be easier than staying in a hotel for an extended period of time.
The Sun is even reporting that to make this sale, the Beckhams are looking to sell their home in the South of France.
“They fell in love with the place when they first saw it but now Victoria thinks it’s a too far away from the action,” their source claims. “They’re there now and will come to a decision when their holiday comes to an end.”
While this is only a rumor at this point, it’s a move that makes sense for the couple. Good luck selling, though! I know the couple has had a hard time selling their house in Madrid and still own it.

David Beckham Isn’t Renting George Clooney’s Pad
February 26, 2009 by Erin Balser
Yesterday, People.com reported that David Beckham was renting George Clooney’s Lake Como villa while he was in Milan.
George is currently in the US filming. His very special ER episode will air on March 12. The pair met at the MET ball in New York and were introduced by mutual friend Giorgio Armani.
However, E! News looked into this a bit further and proved that it’s nothing more than a rumor. They spoke to George’s rep and they confirmed this was not true at all.
“One hundred percent not true,” the rep said. “George is filming in America at this time. He is not renting the house to anyone, and that would include David.”
That’s too bad! I love the fact George and David are friends. Hopefully they’ll hang out quite a bit if David and his family settle in Italy permanently.
Milan Move Looking More Likely for Beckhams
February 4, 2009 by Erin Balser
As David Beckham and AC Milan geared up for their game in Scotland against the Rangers later today, David’s lawyers geared up for talks between Galaxy and Milan about extending David’s stay with the team. Currently, David is obligated to return to the Galaxy on March 8.

“Beckham’s lawyers are talking to the Los Angeles Galaxy, who are the rightful owners of his registration,” AC Milan’s general manager Adriano Galliani told the British Press Association. “If they show themselves to be ready to look at a deal, we would be really happy to do so.”
Milan had made it public that they would very much like David to stay on with them. David has not made such a vocal commitment, rather remaining ambigious but claiming to enjoy Milan, the team and learnign Italian.
Rumors have picked up around Victoria warming up to such a move.
“I like Milan a lot. I know so many people there, especially in the world of fashion: Dolce and Gabbana, Armani,” she told Italian Vanity Fair this month. “The city is vibrant, full of energy and passion. You eat well. There are no reasons not to appreciate Milan.” There’s even speculation Victoria has scouted schools for the boys in the city.
However, the extension of the contract may not be permanent.
“We are looking to get him either on loan until the end of the season or on a permanent basis,” Galliani told the press. “Otherwise, with the greatest regret from everyone – starting with me – Beckham will have to go.”
I think David would be quite pleased if his contract with Milan got extended. He’s been playing very well for them and they are having a stellar season. However, it would be an unfortunate blow for the Los Angeles Galaxy. David also has to consider what this move might mean for his career after he retires from playing. He had several strong contacts in Los Angeles and rumors flew he was looking into sports branding and management in the States once he retired from football.
David Beckham “May Not Return to MLS”
January 10, 2009 by Erin Balser
David Beckham may be signed to a five-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy and has publicly talked about his commitment to the team and the MLS, but that hasn’t stopped speculation about whether or not he will reutrn the Galaxy after his 3-month stint with AC Milan is over.
Alexi Lalas, the former general manager of the Galaxy, has publicly questioned whether or not David should return.
“If I was still at the Galaxy, yes, I’d fear it,” he said during an interview with BBC’s Radio Five. “He’s back in his comfort zone at AC Milan, playing with one of the biggest clubs in the world, with a tremendous amount of talent around him, with incredible money out there on the field so it must be, in a weird way for him, a relief to get out there.”
Beckham’s representative, Simon Oliveira, quickly denounced these comments.
“Whilst we respect Alexi’s right to an opinion, he has not been party to any contractual discussions on the loan agreement to Milan,” he said. “As David has said recently, he will be back in the US for 9 March and with LA Galaxy for the start of the MLS season.”
I think Oliveria is completely in the right here. Lalas has not been involved with the Galaxy since the middle of the season. He is not privvy to any of David’s discussion with any of his respective teams. I think it reflects poorly on Lalas for him to publicly question David’s loyalty to the club–especially given he was a major player in the negotiations that brought David to the Galaxy in the first place.
Lalas had lots more to say on the subject, all which you can read over at the BBC.

AC Milan to Offer David Beckham Two-Year Contract?
December 20, 2008 by Erin Balser
The Daily Mail is reporting that AC Milan is considering offering David Beckham a two-year contract, extending to 2010 if all goes well with this three-month stint.
David’s LA Galaxy contract has a get-out clause and seeing as they have the worst record in the MLS and that David’s salary is the highest in the league, there exists a possibility he could leave the MLS and return to Europe.
This is all speculation at this point. David has publicly remained committed to returning to the Galaxy and improving on this season’s performance. However, a move to Milan would make David’s chances to make England’s 2010 World Cup team easier, as traveling will be better and he will be in match shape longer.
We’ll see what happens.
David Beckham Planning Post-Football Future
December 2, 2008 by Erin Balser
David Beckham knows he can’t play football forever and is looking at planning his next career. The rumor is he’s interested in sports and entertainment financing and is already putting this plan in place with AEG and Galaxy owner Tim Leiweke.
Leiweke has promised David a boardroom job after retirement, if he so desires. The catch is that David is expected to be more than a figurehead and actually be involved in the ins-and-outs of the company, and this requires a crash course in sports financing. David has been taking a lot of talks with Tim and his daughter, Francesca, even taking her to a LA Lakers game earlier this month.
“He now has the high profile and celebrity status in America that Tim believes will attract further investors and raise public awareness of the company,” a source told The London News. “David will help AEG become a household name.”
Working with AEG would keep David in Los Angeles and involved in the Galaxy. I think it would be a great next step for him.
Rumor: David & Victoria Beckham to Become Comic Book Characters
October 24, 2008 by Erin Balser
According to Hollyscoop, Marvel vet Stan Lee wants to turn David and Victoria Beckham into comic book characters!
Lee, who is already working on a comic book for Paris Hilton, imagines the pair as a crime-fighting duo.
“There are so many ways to do it. We could make them a crime fighting team where the soccer is just a facade,” Stan brainstorms. “Or we could make them spies or we could make it a comedy where one of them wants to be an adventurer!”
I love this idea! I don’t see why David and Victoria wouldn’t go for it. Comics appeal to a wide range of people, would expand their brand and would just be tons of fun!
