Victoria Beckham Revamping Sunglasses Line
June 29, 2009 by Erin Balser
Just yesterday we learned that Victoria Beckham was overhauling her denim line, dvb style. Today, we learned that she partnered with Cutler and Gross to redesign her sunglasses line as well! Cutler and Gross are also overseeing the redesign of the jeans line, Eyesway reports.

Cutler and Gross have been making eyewear for over 40 years and brings loads of experience and expertise to the table. Victoria was very smart to go with this company.
The new denim and eyewear lines are expected to debut in spring 2010. I’m really excited to see what the new styles look like!

Victoria Beckham Revamping Denim Line
June 28, 2009 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham’s dress collection the Victoria Beckham Collection has been a smashing success. With this newfound fashion confidence, Victoria is now looking ahead to revamping her jeans line, dvb style. Last year, there were constant rumors about how the line was doing poorly and could often be found in the discount bins. Now that she’s a fashion superstar, Posh wants to make sure that doesn’t happen again!
According to the Daily Mail, Victoria has let go Rock & Republic, with whom she used to collaborate on her denim line with. While the new production team is still unknown to the public, her representative assures us it’s a brand new team.
“One of the girls is a denim specialist. Victoria makes out she’s hands-on, but she doesn’t sit there cutting patterns,” the Daily Mail’s source says.
The spokesperson for Victoria promises us that the new look for the line will launch next year!
I’m really excited to see the new line and am wondering what direction Victoria will take it. Will it be more high fashion to compliment her dress line? Or will it be more lower grade and contemporary to appease her fan base who can’t necessarily afford her higher end dresses? Whichever direction she goes, I’m excited to see it!

Saks Fifth Avenue Drops Victoria Beckham Denim
February 23, 2009 by Erin Balser
Saks Fifth Avenue is no longer carrying Victoria Beckham’s jeans, dvb style, the New York Post reports.
The rumor is that Saks is upset that Victoria sold her dress line, the Victoria Beckham Collection, to Berdorf Goodman, even though Saks kept her denim line, despite poor sales.
“Saks dropped Victoria Beckham’s line” the Post’s source claims. “They were offended when she sold her dress line to Bergdorf’s and not to Saks, even though Saks launched her denim line in their New York store.”
Saks was frustrated with the sales of the line, as it was not selling as well as they expected. They thought, however, their loyalty to Victoria, would mean a first-look at her new collection.
The Post’s source chalks up the jeans poor sales to lack of appeal for the designer jean buyer.
“Nobody wanted to buy $300 jeans from someone who is not a trained designer,” the source explains.
While this is disappointing news, I doubt it’ll affect Victoria and her fashion enterprise much. Her second line of dresses is a critical smash and she’s doubling production from last year.

Deminology has gotten their hands on the dvb by Victoria Beckham Spring 2009 look book. This season, Victoria’s denim collection features a variety of skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans and flared jeans, as well as lots of pastel colors–including peach, light blue and yellow. The collection also features a few pairs of jeans for men.

I really like to look of the colored jeans, but I can’t see myself wearing them day-to-day. Victoria, on the other hand, would look amazing in every pair of jeans in this look book. Check out the look book here.
What do you think? Will you be wearing any of these in 2009?
Victoria Beckham Launches dvb in Madrid
October 17, 2008 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham is on a whirlwind European tour. Yesterday, she launched her clothing line dvb at Ekseption boutique in Madrid, Spain. She once again played with an androgynous look with a vest, white shirt, and skinny jeans. I love the headband in her hair, it looks really cute.
What do you think of Victoria’s more masculine style?

Victoria Beckham Launches New Fragrance in Manchester
August 29, 2008 by Erin Balser
Victoria Beckham looked absolutely stunning in a Giambattista Valli creation as she launched her new fragrance Signature For Her.
I love how the dress makes her look like she has angel wings. Victoria had the launch in Manchester because it’s a place that’s close to her heart and she doesn’t get to go there often anymore.
“[The launch] was meant to be in London but I said no,” Victoria told the Manchester Evening News. “I said please can I go to Manchester instead? I love Manchester, it’s got a really good feel to it. So I thought why not - I usually spend a lot of time in London. I’m really excited about coming back because, of course, it’s where I met David. Manchester’s just so fashion conscious. And there’s great shopping.”

What’s the Deal With Posh’s Men’s Demin Line?

For weeks, there have been rumors that Victoria Beckham’s dvb jeans for men have been cancelled or delayed. But Victoria herself keeps insisting that the jeans will arrive on time and will sell very well.
TMZ looked into this, and found that her women’s line isn’t doing very well–it’s been constantly reported that several department stores have hundreds in stock and others are putting the jeans in the discount bins or outlet stores.
However, this doesn’t mean anything for the men’s line, despite the rumors.
“The dVb collection by Victoria Beckham continues to be sold in Saks Fifth Avenue as well as many of the finest specialty stores around the world,” Victoria’s rep told TMZ. “dVb has developed a solid customer base globally. The dVb men’s capsule collection is on target to launch in late Fall 2008 as originally scheduled.”
I’ve also heard rumors that Victoria is willing to remove her name from the label, if it means increased sales.
I’m not sure what to think of this. I want Victoria’s brand to do well, but there have been so many rumors and declarations from stores that it isn’t. Is Victoria being a savvy business person with these claims? Or are these stores just engaging in Beckham backlash? Or is Victoria being a bit delusional? I’m finding it hard to tell and I guess we won’t know until her men’s line launches and we see how it does.
Victoria Beckham Names Jeans After Naomi Campbell

Victoria Beckham is expanding her dvb style jeans line and first up on the list is her brand new Naomi jean names after supermodel Naomi Campbell.
Naomi is really proud to have the jeans named after her and thinks the jeans are fantastic.
“I love the fit, model and cut of the Naomi jeans Victoria Beckham has designed. I have already worn them many times and people always stop me and ask the make of my jeans. Victoria did a great job capturing a stylish Seventies rock jean look,” Naomi told Vogue.
The jean is named after Naomi because of how they make your legs look incredibly long.
“High fashion plays a huge part in the creation of the dVb ranges and right now I love the influences of the Seventies and Eighties on the runway,” Victoria says. “The “Naomi by dVb” takes these elements into a denim cut which makes the leg look incredibly long. Who better to name this style after than Naomi Campbell?”
The jeans are going to retail for prices waaaaaaay out of my price range. Currently, they’re only available in the UK, but expect them to make the jump across the pond soon.
