Galaxy Lose to Colorado Rapids

May 28, 2008 by Erin Balser

The Los Angeles Galaxy lost to the Colorado Rapids in a well-fought game on Tuesday night. The final score was 1-0. Despite the loss, the Galaxy were still proud of how they played.

“Yeah, we lost 1-0 tonight, but we created a lot of opportunities. On another day, those go in and we win this game, no problem,” said goalkeeper Steve Cronin.

Cronin thinks that the team is deeper than the media gives them credit for and that they need to look beyond Landon Donovan and David Beckham to win.

“Maybe when Landon and David are in, there’s that much more quality in the group, but we had enough quality tonight to win the game. I don’t think them not being here is an excuse,” he said.

The Galaxy will have to shrug this loss off and look towards their next game, when they play Toronto on Thursday.
