Mia Hamm Praises David Beckham
Soccer superstar Mia Hamm gave an interview with The Long Beach Press Telegram wherein she praised David Beckham as both an athlete and an advocate for soccer.
“I truly believe his commitment to this game and this country is truly genuine,” Hamm said of David. “As someone who loves the sport as much as I do, that’s what you want.”
Mia was on hand to support Beckham early in his Galaxy career.
“I watched one of his first games and the services he was sending, I hadn’t seen that in any MLS games. It makes you excited about the potential he can bring, more so to the game than the league.”
The soccer community really seems to be a tight-knit and supportive group! I’ve always been a fan of Mia and she seems to be a really classy lady.
