David Beckham to Play New Zealand
It’s been confirmed that David Beckham and the LA Galaxy will play a friendly match in New Zealand.

David Beckham will make an appearance in New Zealand in December after Los Angeles Galaxy confirmed a friendly against Wellington Phoenix.
The Phoenix, New Zealand’s A-League franchise, will host the Major League Soccer outfit on December 2 with Beckham, who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, set to play at least 55 minutes as part of the deal.
The Phoenix and the local council have parted with £700,000 to persuade the Galaxy to extend their stay in Australasia - they also meet Sydney FC on November 27 - with Beckham the big attraction.
Terry Serepisos, the Phoenix owner, said: “We as the club are bearing most of the costs. It’s crucial David Beckham takes the field and plays.
“If for some unforeseen circumstance he gets injured prior to the game then the game will be rescheduled at a later date to be confirmed.”
Councillor John Morrison, the former New Zealand cricketer, added: “It is a minimum of 55 minutes, and hopefully the whole game. We need to attract a 30,000-plus crowd.”
Hopefully David will be completely healed by then!
