David Beckham Accused of Gay Slur
This is claim that Becks has vehemently denied, but I thought I’d post it anyway.
According to Page Six in the New York Post, Becks ex-Chelsea player Graeme Le Saux was called a “[bleep]ing poof” by David Beckham during a game in 2000.
Of the supposed incident, LeSaux said:
“That shocked me. That this was somebody who is obviously not homophobic makes it even more significant. I’m sure it does not cross David’s mind to talk like that in, say, Elton John’s company, but as a reaction to an incident, I was fair game to be called a ‘poof.’”
Le Saux makes this claim in his new autobiography, “Graeme Le Saux: Left Field,” which is just about to hit stores.
In response, a rep for Becks called these accusations “completely untrue”:”
David would never say such a thing. It’s been seven years since this match that Graeme refers to, and he has never mentioned this to David personally or publicly.”
Who else thinks Le Saux is just trying to get a few books sold?
