David Beckham Watches Galaxy vs. Revolution
David Beckham sat the bench as the L.A. Galaxy lost 1-0 to the New England Revolution. Despite the loss, he was very warm with fans, signing lots of autographs and even giving a lucky little girl his warm-up jersey.
Coach Frank Yallop had this to say: “It just didn’t feel right… He didn’t want to risk it, so we decided not to.” He also said, “David wants to be on the field… I think he feels very bad. It’s a disappointment, but it’s a reality. I do feel for the fans because they’re excited to see him play and so are we as a team.”
Can you imagine how frustrating this must be for Beckham?!
