Before David Beckham made his MLS debut in Washington DC (he played 20 full minutes!), He quickly updated his blog:

Hi everyone

Hope you are all well? I’m feeling great – I’ve just started training with the team again, and it’s a wonderful feeling to finally be back with the guys after spending a lot of time in the gym, and having plenty of physiotherapy on my ankle. It’s going to be a very special time for me personally when I step out on the pitch for the first time as a fit player.

I really want to get out there and get involved. I can understand the recent frustrations of some of the supporters when I’m not fully a part of the team. I love playing soccer and its just as frustrating for me as I’d like nothing more than to be out there playing for the Galaxy, week in week out, but I’m getting fitter every day and now I’m training properly I’m just really looking forward to getting back on the pitch.

I did travel with the team to Toronto and watch the game, so I’m definitely feeling more part of things. I just need to get that first game under my belt. Not too long now though… fingers crossed!
