David Beckham Turns Down Simpsons Cameo
David Beckham was offered a cameo appearance on iconic The Simpsons. However, he turned down the offer.
Rumors are swirling that he did so because the show poked fun of his alleged 2004 affair with personal assistant Rebecca Loos.
Creator Matt Groening admitted that “Beckham didn’t want to take part, but never mind.”
On The Simpsons, Marge hosted Channel 4’s Alternative Christmas Message in 2004. During her speech, she compared her relationship with Homer to the Beckhams’ relationship.
She said “Our union is as solid as the union between your David Beckham and Posh Spice. Oh, he did that? With his assistant? That’s so sad. Okay, moving on.”
