David Beckham to Miss Another Game
The L.A. Galaxy has left David Beckham off the line up for today’s game against Chivas de Guadalajara of Mexico .
“He’s not out here today, and he won’t be playing tomorrow,” coach Frank Yallop said. “It’s healing better every day, but his ankle is still tight. It’s just a matter of time, really.”
Beckham better heal soon. The L.A. Galaxy heads on the road for an eight game, and tickets at those arenas are sold out.
However, soccer enthusiasts argue that this is the nature of the game.
“In any sport in this country, you run the risk that if you buy tickets just to see one player, the player may be hurt or suspended,” Dallas team owner Michael Hitchcock said. “That’s the risk you take.”
L.A. Galaxy is scheduled to play FC Dallas on Tuesday.
