David and Victoria Beckham Make Dreams Come True
A young boy and his family have a lot to be thankful for, including Posh & Becks!
Louise and John Lenihan’s four-year-old son, Ted, suffers from cerebral palsy, heart problems and a rare genetic condition. On Kids in Need Golf Day — an annual event — Ted was presented with a special tricycle designed just for him!
“The trike gives him more independence and means that we can now do things as a family we wouldn’t have been able to before,” Ted’s mom said.
Kids in Need is financially supported by Victoria and David Beckham. The money for Ted’s tricycle was donated by them.
“People knock the Beckhams and criticise them, but the stuff they do for kids is great,” Mrs. Lenihan said. “Without them, Ted wouldn’t have this opportunity.”
Dave Poole, Kids in Need’s chairman, was very excited to present this special gift to Ted.“When his mum and dad started pushing him around the veranda his face brightened up and he looked so happy. It’s really gratifying when you see that kind of reaction,” he said.
Golf Day raised over $12,000 for Kid in Need.
